AspectMaps

Privacy policy

Your information should remain explainable and under your control.

This policy describes how AspectMaps handles information in its website, private beta, and iPhone app.

Effective October 3, 2026

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide and information needed to operate the service:

  • Your invited email address and authentication records.
  • If you request access through our website, the email address you submit and the audience you select (entrepreneurs, professionals, or undecided).
  • Reading inputs such as decision questions, priorities, constraints, dates, locations, birth or event details, and time-confidence selections.
  • Decision types, dates, your choices, check-in results, and optional private notes when you use Your decisions.
  • Calculated chart data, generated readings, calculation-quality details, and generation audit records needed to explain how a reading was produced.
  • Basic technical and security information produced by our hosting, authentication, and API services, such as request logs, timestamps, device or browser information, and IP addresses.
  • Website usage information collected through Google Analytics, described under “Cookies and analytics” below.

The iPhone app also stores your session securely in the iOS Keychain and keeps pending reading requests on your device so interrupted work can recover.

How we use information

We use this information to:

  • authenticate invited users and protect account access;
  • calculate, generate, save, retrieve, and explain readings;
  • show your private decisions, choices, and check-ins, and send reminders about your own decisions when enabled;
  • recover interrupted requests and prevent duplicate submissions;
  • manage access requests and contact you about joining the beta;
  • understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it;
  • maintain security, diagnose failures, and improve reliability; and
  • respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests.

AspectMaps provides reflective decision support. It does not provide medical, legal, investment, or financial advice, and it does not make deterministic predictions.

Service providers and AI processing

We use service providers to operate AspectMaps. Depending on the feature and current configuration, these include Supabase for authentication and database storage, Vercel for hosting, Resend for authentication and decision-reminder email, OpenAI and/or Anthropic for generated readings, an astrology calculation provider, GeoNames for location search, Google Analytics for website analytics, and Google Fonts for web typography.

When a reading is generated, the information needed for that reading may be sent to the configured AI and calculation providers. Avoid including secrets or highly sensitive information in a decision question. Providers process information under their own service terms and privacy commitments.

Your private decision tracker

Reminder emails are on by default when delivery is available. We send at most one reminder and one later nudge per decision. You can turn them off in Your decisions or through the opt-out link in an email. We store your reminder preference, time zone, and delivery status; the delivery provider receives your email address and a generic check-in link, without your decision question, answers, chart details or private notes.

Your decisions, check-ins and notes are private to your account. We do not use them to study patterns across users, and we do not share them with other users. Check-in notes are not sent to AI providers or analytics. If we ever offer pooled insights, we will ask for your permission first.

We store these records with our hosting and database providers to show your own decision history and in-app check-ins. They remain while your account is active. You can delete a single decision, including its choices, check-ins and notes, from its decision record. Its saved reading is retained separately. Account deletion removes all of these records, including reminder settings and delivery records.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how it is used. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, basic interactions such as which buttons you click and whether the access form was submitted (not what you typed), the site or campaign link that referred you, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It runs on public pages and on signed-in pages. For signed-in pages, the page address it records can include a random record identifier, but it does not receive the content of your readings, questions, or chart details.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google processes this information under its own privacy terms.

Sharing and sale

We do not sell personal information. We do not use third-party advertising networks. We disclose information to service providers only as needed to operate the service, when you direct us to do so, or when required to comply with law and protect rights, safety, and security.

Retention and deletion

Saved readings and account information are retained while your account remains active. Access-request emails are kept until you join the beta or ask us to remove them. Google Analytics data is retained for no more than 14 months. You can permanently delete your account and its saved readings from Library → Delete account… in the iPhone app, or from the account-deletion page on the website. Local app sessions and pending requests are cleared after successful deletion or sign-out.

Limited security logs or service-provider backups may remain for a period under the providers' retention and legal requirements. Deletion cannot remove information you previously copied or exported outside AspectMaps.

Security and your choices

We use access controls, encrypted HTTPS connections, owner-scoped records, and platform security features to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.

You may request access, correction, or deletion, or ask a question about this policy, by emailing privacy@aspectmaps.co. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children and changes

AspectMaps is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the beta evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
